20. Hated that book.

The characters were indistinguishable from one another, they were so flat. Even though they were given tack-on distinguishing characteristics, such as being a Muslim or having the cute name of "Whitebread", I still couldn't tell them apart. Yet forty years and more later, I can still remember characters such as Harlan Ellison's Bedzik or Fritz Leiber's Franz Weston and Scully Crocket LaCruz.
