I just have to see where things go and what inspires me to write something down. These poems are usually spontaneous and take about 15 minutes to write. I'm no craftsman. Usually I write the whole thing and then sometimes come back and change a word or two.

For example, I have long struggled with the second line of the second verse on this one. I started with "Frozen in time," then "Frozen forever," and now "Limbs slowly frozen." "Frozen in time" repeated the "time" at the end and contradicted the "disappears into time," as did the "Frozen forever." "Limbs slowly frozen" emphasizes the process of freezing. Everything else is from the original.

Regarding the music, I've always pretty much been a prog rock fan with interests in classical music as well. Mahler was the ultimate classical progger in my book.

Thank you for your encouragement.
