and then, as I read thru the series, the tone changed, and Caro later had spoken of his growing respect of Johnson,
as his life details became more clear.
even better, despite Caro's feelings one way or the other, he wrote a pretty straighforward piece, overall.
( LOTS of words, tho...lots and lots and lots)
