At Christmas time, we usually donate some $ to 5 or 6 charities (whichever ones we decide on that year)

Last year, among others, we donated $ to a food bank and an animal shelter.

Well my husband sent the food bank check to the animal shelter and the animal shelter check to the food bank.

Both places were more than forgiving, sent our checks back in a timely manner, and we eventually got them to the right places. The woman from the animal shelter said “this happens more than you’d think. People just have too many things on their minds these days.”
