5. sometimes the app will tell you to retry

after you submit the pictures it might tell you that it failed and you have to redo it. Typically this happens when the check is not lit correctly like if you have a shadow over it or if it's washed out or out of focus.

Of course in your case it was before submission so it's just to give you a chance to take a better picture if you notice a problem.
