Update: Cannot. Fucking. Win. Re: "Stimulus payment" for SS Recipients [View all]

Just wanted to let folks know not to give up - I finally got through on their "my payment" and it said my check will be mailed April 24th. Should have been deposited, but whatever - I'll take it! It was 1:30 in the morning when I finally got through, and received an answer and not an error message. We'll see, though ...Okay. First, I heard if you do NOTHING, and have your SS income deposited to your bank account, they will automatically deposit this money by direct deposit.
Second, I heard that you need to file a 2019 tax return. So I did on free turbo-tax. Nothing owed, nothing refunded.
3rd I heard that it isn't necessary to file a return. If your banking info is where your SS is direct-deposited, all should be fine and the money will be deposited directly to that account.
So today I checked at the IRS site for "Get My Payment" and it said that they didn't have my banking info, even though that is how my SS income is deposited. So I tried to fill out their form, providing my information. Long story short, There is a problem. AND they are having technical difficulties.
Can't call. No local IRS offices are open.
WTF now? Any suggestions?

It may still be direct deposited, you just weren't in the first round of disbursements.
