I have severe sleep apnea. I use two new down pillows. They go flat in a year. I must sleep on my back because of severe GERD. Find a supportive sleep specialist who will assist with options and settings on your CPAP device. Makes a huge difference for comfort and use of the mask. I have sinus issues so I need the encouragement to try various options including working with an ENT. The nose/mouth mask made me swallow a lot of air.
All the best. Stick with it and be patient. The first several months can be frustrating.
