(2,162 posts)32. That's what I had heard about the operation itself.
My biggest thing, I guess, is paying for the toroid lens. I totally failed to understand why I couldn't still drive without glasses with a regular lens, since I've been driving without glasses with my natural lens all my life.

My Dad got it done when he was 85. Sailed through it and was very happy with the results.

Nowadays, the risks are quite low. If doc said 10%, I bet most of that is post op irritation,

Had one done by a doctor at the hospital. He tore the outside layer. Caused a horizontal streak across the field

Odds are you won't have any problems. Not sure but yes, issues can be dealt with.

I had cataract surgery on both eyes in 2017. All went well and continues to go well. Not one issue.

The eye doctor / surgeon makes a difference. Be willing to change to get the best.
