I could not imagine the stress of being plt leader in war. I'm sure your men Knew you cared for them ,do not bust your own balls or be hard on yourself and think you were a screwy plt leader. You and your men and many who served in war time have far better idea of sacrifice. As 11B I was lucky Warsaw Pact never fired up there bmp and t 72 and decided to roll west into west Germany. I was lucky as well that I think it was Colin Powell who talked regan out of committing ground troops to Central America not sure , thought I read that about Powell once. So I tell people when they ask me about my time in army I say think animal house the movie. but we had m16's and 60's when we did not have to soldier. By you letting the pregnant trooper slide on no salute shows you have it on the ball. Never confront a pregnant women to quote Walter sobcheck from the big lebowski your about to enter a world of pain. My beautiful wife has given us four lovely children over 30 years marriage , I learned along time ago tread lightly because of pregnancy hormones , the SOP of being a man around a pregnant wife manual reads agree at all times even if seems like she is insane do not confront her. If you win then you lose ,Be safe take care friend enjoy your day this is your day and all combat Veterans Day. I have three friends coming today sgt major army who retired in 1993 then a former Force recon marine who retired and also a close friend retired who was DRILL SERGEANT in C 10/2 when I was 18 year old in A 10/2 at harmony church at U BENN , at same time small world we all met at church years ago. Why he knew my senior Drill sgt we was looking one day at my blue book for the cycle in 84. There all fine people lot more high speed than me there all RANGER TABBED SF TABBED 2 are actually diver qualified . I hope they don't start drinking and wanna do land nav. Land nav was really not one of my strongest points gotta have sense humor. Remember we did not write the joke we just tell it.
