7. Neither of my grandfathers were yet citizens when they joined the Navy at the turn of the 19th to 20th century.

One 1900-1904. The other 1904-1929. They cared enough about their new country and were willing to give it their all. We native born don't always appreciate how much it means to be an American.

Or is it that you don't understand why our stupid leaders care so little about those who care so much? I can agree, wholeheartedly, with that thought.
