6. I'm not discounting the FIBS factor

I'm just saying that I wouldn't go light when my family or my own life is at stake. Same reason I wouldn't depend on a .22 LR. It's called personal protection for a reason, some people's choice while adequate for their own conditions would be unsatisfactory for someone else.

My own is 10 MM, my wife's is .223. If #6, or 7 1/2 works for your needs, it works for your needs, just not mine.

I hope everyone has a plan for the worst ( 50 cal, .410 snake charmer, a barking dog, or running out the back door, etc. ) , but never have to put it to the test.
