It also said an exemption letting retired law enforcement officers carry larger magazines did not deprive ordinary gun owners of equal protection.

I can't support any law that makes second-class citizens of non-government employees. If New Jersey wants to limit magazine capacity, that limit should apply universally - absolutely no exceptions for anyone.
