7. Wherre in the world do you come up with 11,000? The total murdered in the US was 11,961.

According to the 2014 FBI Crime Statistics, Expanded Homicide Data Table 9 there were 8,124 murders by firearms. There were 519 murders by firearm of persons age 18 or less. Firearms were used in 67.92% of the murders, with handguns used in 68% of firearm murders, and rifles/shotguns used in 3% each in firearm murders.

Given that we had over 10,000 deaths due to DUI in 2013 (the latest year for which I could find data) and no one ever complains about that, I begin to wonder what is driving this bus.
