In reply to the discussion: Gun owning liberal and watching Baggars shoot at a range [View all]agentS
(1,325 posts)29. Those "Tacti-Cool" guys... are they at your range?
IkeRepublican, those Tea Party shooters at the range you frequent, are they the ones who have all those unneeded "accessories" attached to their firearm to make it 'look cool'? Have you seen stuff like the picture below at the range?
(i think there's a pistol buried under all that bullshit)
From the website that had the second picture:
The AR-15 Rifle is the Men's Lego set, its fully customizable, easy to assemble and there are a ton of accessories for them. Everything from grips, scopes, lasers and lights can be mounted onto the AR-15 in various different configurations. But how many accessories is too much? Just like with cars, many people seem to go overboard with the accessories they add onto their ARs (and other guns for that matter) making them seem gaudy and impractical. With the AR owner above, to him more is better, personally Im a fan of KISS principle. I keep it simple with iron sights and a foregrip, and if Im feeling tacticool a mounted SureFire light. - See more at: http://www.armoryblog.com/firearms/rifles/how-many-accessories-is-too-much/#sthash.NzD9hdkR.dpuf
And what is your opinion of the whole "Tacti-cool" thing? Is it a fad, or a marketing gimmick, or is all that stuff necessary?

I think I'd find another range. See if you can find a private gun club in your area.
