My sister once owned a pair of bassets. Unlike this hound, they were decidedly low energy and ...erm...not very bright. They had trouble with simple tasks like lying there and rolling in the grass. Eating could be problematic, as they tended to bite their own ears. Then there was the problem of tripping over their own feet.
But they were good dogs!
