I will definitely look up past postings. I'm glad I caught this one!

I met Belle in 2008 at her 2nd owner's place and we fell in love at first sight, even though I was never around horses. They had to sell her 2 years later, and I was faced with either buying her or never seeing her again. We had just finished our barn, so it all made sense. She was old and sick then, so we never expected to get another 15 1/2 years with her! She got healthier and thrived right up until the end. She was sweet and goofy, and everyone who met her loved her.

Somehow it helps to look at other horses, especially young ones who move so easily. Belle got along great, but it's so gradual with old animals that it's easy to forget that they USED to run and jump and roll. And, yes, she had a very long life, unusually long in fact. She was not robbed. We just miss her like crazy.
