One of the bravest woman that the vast majority of people have never heard of. In 1166 she led an army of Welshmen against the Normans and won the first round. Had she not been betrayed by Gruffydd ap Llewellyn, who revealed her location, she likely would have won the second. The Normans beheaded her on the battlefield.

A great Welsh Battle Cry is 'Ddail Achos Gwenllian!' (Revenge for Gwenllian!)

I love Welsh history. That's why my kid cats always get STRONG Welsh names.
