Have to agree with prior posts - 1) that most cats do not like their special foods, 2) the tinctures have helped our dog with his itching so the naturopathic methods might work, 3) putting a more favored food on top or mixed in could encourage consumption of the special diet food, and 4) give alternative brands to Hills a try.
Nnadir, I know you are a keen scientist. Asking friends about their own experiences is an important research and information gathering method! Best of luck to you and your cat!
