Indoor jasmine plant - question... [View all]

My mother is a HUGE fan of jasmine, but she's slowing down a lot and lives in assisted living so she doesn't have her own garden anymore. I want to send her some jasmine (or lilac, her other favorite, but I don't think lilac will thrive indoors -- please correct me if I'm wrong) for Mother's Day.

I have read that jasmine, aside from smelling wonderful, also is a good plant to encourage sleep - smells good, or is relaxing, or whatever it might be that promotes peaceful slumber.

Anyway - I'd like to send my mom an indoor jasmine plant (already potted), but the first place I saw one - White Flower Farm - is sold out. There are many retailers on Amazon, but I really don't have a clue how to determine the best product.

Anyone here knowledgeable about jasmine? Care to offer an opinion? Thanks!
