6. They are watering containers called tomato halos.

They are made by a British company and sold through various US outlets, including Gardeners Supply Company.



Unlike the video, I don't use the tripod ports and I plant my tomatoes even deeper and then gently bring the tops through the center. They hold about 3 liters of water and slowly drip it into the soil.
