It is a diet-based fix for reducing your dependence on diabetes drugs. I have a milder case of diabetes and have never been on meds for it, and had been able to control it with carb counting and exercise...

But then two years ago I adopted the eating advice in this book and my A1c went down to normal, and my daily glucose levels fell from around 110-120 to 85-90. It's all about getting the saturated fats out of your diet, which helps reverse insulin resistance. Worked for me. There are many, many resources out there for plant-based lowfat recipes that taste really good, so I don't feel deprived. I feel great and have a lot of energy for my age (61).
