Sheriff pulls up behind the car and puts the blinkers on. Walks up to the car.

Q. Howdy. Where you folks headed.

A. To visit some friends.

Q. Whereabouts might those friends be?

A. Is there a problem officer?

Q. Well, there might be. You were driving erratically back there. Would you step out of the car, please?

And so on, and so on. Pretty soon the word gets out that travel through Lubbock County by any woman not known to local LEOs is nigh unto impossible.

They read "The Handmaid's Tale" too.
