your SS equal to your FRA so there is that and it will also qualify you for things like Sec 8 housing, and various other community based programs. Utility assistance, phone assistance, and I think even more. Also don't forget about food banks for food. This time of year (holidays) they are very generous. I don't have any experience myself but I think what I am saying is correct.

Maybe contact your community based assistance which is usually at the county level.

Has your husband applied for unemployment assistance after losing his last job?
