I browbeat a coworker into getting a colonoscopy, telling him how would your daughters feel knowing you're not at their weddings because of fear of a colonoscopy. The doc found a "carpet of polyps" that were examined and removed during a followup colonoscopy.

Get your ass to the doctor as recommended, people!
