11. Some may think they are fixed

But in my 28 years of fighting the addictions, I have found that we all are just one drink away from going back to where we were, and for me that just isn't an option I want to take. I have gotten to where I am today by doing exactly what you said, taking it one day at a time. There have been many times when something has come up that makes me think just "one drink" would fix my problems, but then I remember that I could never have just one drink, and I simply need to make it through the day and then on to the next. Things do get better, but we have to keep make the right choices.
