I wish I could find something to refute your assessment of this situation.

I cannot.

However, I wish I could be around when this entire regime is assessed by history to see which socioeconomic groups were essentially 'targeted' during their destruction, and which entities could have done something to stop it, but did not.

The results might surprise a few people.

(edited to add: It is disgusting what this regime is doing. This is just one more layer.)
