3. I was silent about my abuse and later I learned that a younger girl was later abused by my abuser

There was an investigation, and I said nothing although I was not personally asked. The charges ended up getting dropped. It had been over 5 years since the abuse, and I was then 18.
My husband, a close friend, and two counselors know that I was abused. I did not tell about the other girl. I was too ashamed, and I am still ashamed.
This is not irrational though. I have seen how people have treated child sex abused victims. I have heard what they have said. Still maybe I should have been braver.
