Margaret Sanger, written by the distinguished Illinoisan Emily Taft Douglas. She was married to Illinois' senator Paul Douglas, and served in Congress herself. Her father was a respected artist.

Emily Taft Douglas does not hide or gloss over Sanger's obvious warts. I learned a lot from that book. I don't think it is in print any more.
