Have you noticed that UFO sightings traditionally reference a bowl or saucer shape? Where do we see that shape on earth? In the ocean! There are manta rays, including "flying" manta rays, that are 36ft wide and weigh 5,000 pounds. The flying rays that we're aware of are not able to stay airborne for long, but maybe they're related to a species that can, and we're just unaware of it.

Up to a million species live in the seas, and two-thirds of those ocean-dwellers may still be undiscovered, according to a new study that also cataloged all of the known species that dwell beneath the waves.
