Nothing Hamas does has any basis in normal human decency, the Geneva Convention or anything else other than what gets them the leverage and kind of publicity they want. 15 months of Israeli pounding has not removed Hamas from power or freed many hostages. Time is against the hostages and on Hamas' side, unfortunately. I am sure Trump's posturing that he is "losing patience" is laughable to Hamas.
