10/7 there have been potshots. I never put much faith in the idea that pleading by Western/Middle Eastern/European nations for "calm" in the area was going to have much effect. I think Hezbollah/Iran saw the last 9 months as an opportunity to escalate etc. and now we'll see what happens. It is not a hopeful scenario.
