Leftism liked Jews as long as they were a persecuted minority that could be counted on for support or pointed at to show an example of how Western civilization was deserving of being destroyed. Now that the Jewish nation is taking its place as a part of the Western world, it's just one more object of hatred and one more target for destruction.
