I can’t say that I feel much sympathy for the Pakistani leadership. IMO they’e double-dealing weasels. During the Afghan war they were playing a double game, ostensibly supporting US efforts to fight the Taliban while some of them were quietly helping them. EDIT: And now their playing footsies with the Taliban has turned around to bite them.
