The cruelty in factory farming is heart wrenching. Vegetarian for over 12 years and vegan for about 9. Prior to that, I’m sorry to say I rarely thought about the fate of my food. I was fortunate to have a friend educate me. I’ve got my dear, dear 86 year old husband about 90 - 95 percent of the way there and I’m so proud of him. A life long meat and egg eater made the changes.

Helping the planet, improving your health (especially preventing a reversing heart disease) and saving animals…where is the downside compared to that? Not saying it’s easy to make changes to your diet when food can often serve as comfort or a hobby, but the upside is so worth it.

I know folks, professed animal lovers, who are outraged when they hear of people eating dogs and never connect they are doing the same thing eating cows, pigs and chickens.
