23. Cold cereal for breakfast

Store brand cereal costs $2.00 a box and price for name brand is sometimes lower when combined with in store sale along with coupons. A local gas station mini mart often sells eggs at $.99 a dozen and the local store sometimes sells eggs at $.65 a dozen when one has at least $25.00 in other purchases.

1 cup cereal $0.19
1/2 cup low fat or skim milk $0.09

boiled egg $0.08

8 fl oz orange juice $0.25
8 fl oz tomato juice $0.25

1 slice toast $0.09
2 tsp of soft margarine $0.04

Total cost per serving is $0.99
