Saving money on food storage(specialized refrigeration?). [View all]

There are a few ways...buying in bulk, using a food saver or other vacuum seal to help curb spoilage, etc.

Frankly though, I was wondering if anyone here owned a Kimchi refrigerator. It's specifically a refrigerator that you can set the temperature in each individual compartment as compared to the refrigerator as a whole. In the process it makes the refrigerator substantially more expensive(like $500-1000) but I would assume since you can optimize temperature in each compartment you'd get a few extra days out of what you buy if not more.
Am I incorrect in that respect? Please chime in with your experiences.
