5. Each year would be even worse if we gave up on renewable energy

A few countries & companies are pursuing development of hydrogen generated from renewable energy. If this effort attains "critical mass" there could be a huge turn-around. Solar & Wind energy are just waiting to be exploited, and a hydrogen market could accelerate that development. Renewable energy has become market driven.
