Monday

I'm certain I won't live to see it but I hope my son will say some day, my son will say, "Dad said it was feasible to do this and we did it. He would have loved to have seen this."

I don't actually expect that will happen but I'd like to imagine it in my last days, die in a burst of probably unwarranted optimism.

It's been scary a long time, and it's now worse than ever.
