the scientist was coming home from the nuclear lab in the 1930s, 40s as they didn't buy the home from the scientist i'm pretty sure. I wonder what the cancer rate was for that generation of lab workers. Proper nuclear protocols were not in place, it must have been at the dawn of the industry.
