chgo bird collision monitors that has volunteers who go out every morning during migration and pick up stunned and injured birds. i believe the dead 1s go to the field museum for record keeping.
this bldg is the worst offender, but all the lakefront glass boxes get their share.
it’s just stupid. mitigation measures arent that expensive. at least the big 1s turn off as many lights as possible during migration. but it’s a huge flyway along the lakefront.
