Bolivians initially though of the great wealth that their lithium deposits would bring to them.

Turns out, it's really more like a target on their backs.

Shock Doctrine, Confessions of an Economic Hit Man, etc etc all describe how capitalism works.

We're seeing it.

Also, we're experiencing it here in the USA as these same forces are undermining the US's administrative state with the intention of destroying it.

Sadly, this activity was/is condoned if not backed by the US when it came to "protecting" US "interests".

Hopefully the Bolivarians will succeed. But, it's going to be a hard slog now that lithium is such a key part of the future.

A target is on their backs, and ours as well.
