There are anti-viral masks available. Much like surgical masks but tighter fitting. Not quite as effective but very good for some measure of protection from viruses. The is even one in between the two.

I assumed the N95 as they used the word respirator rather than the simpler word “mask”.

No matter the type, they suffer from both lack of consistency of use and against other vectors of infections. I’ve read that the virus can remain alive and active outside the body on various objects for 9 days.

The biggest risks are we so often absentmindedly touch our face so often and fail to wash our hands thoroughly and often.
