7. Reboot the PRAM

1. Shut down your Mac. Wait 20 seconds.

2. Turn your Mac on. Immediately press and hold the command + option + P + R keys.

3. Continue to hold the command + option + P + R keys for a minimum of 20 seconds; longer is fine but not necessary.

4. After 20 seconds, you can release the keys.
