4. PiHole -- another option

I used to edit my /etc/hosts.txt file ... but now I run PiHole on a Raspberry Pi: https://pi-hole.net

It basically turns a Raspberry Pi box into a DNS server (with filtered hosts), and can be the server for any/all of the machines on your local WiFi network. So not just my Macs, but iPhones and iPads can use it as well!

It's not for everyone, but fyi ... I found it easy enough to install.
