1. If you kill the power, upon restart, the unsuccessful update should revert to the previous version

At some point, it will attempt to do this long update again. Make sure it has a good internet connection to do this.

(Your internet probably went out during this update.)

I upgraded all of my computers to Win 10.

After a few months, one by one, I put them back to Win 8.1.

Windows 10 is designed to be better for Microsoft, not its users.

Some things about 10 are better than 8, but its not worth this kind of grief.
