Anyone else here use car wax in the bathroom? [View all]

We have really hard water where I am. I used to never be able to keep the water spots off the glass shower doors, even with squeegeeing after each shower they still got spots. Then I remembered how my grandmother used to use car wax on the mirror in the bathroom. It keeps it from getting foggy, or deveoping those streaks heavy steam can cause. So, I tried it on the shower doors and it worked like a charm. Best part is it lasts a long time. It usually takes about three months before I notice the water isn't running off like it used to.

I also use it on my bathroom fixtures now and they're all water spot free as well.

You can use it on tile and fiberglass in the bathroom as well. Lone_Star_Dem Feb 2012 #4

Good question. emilyg Jun 2012 #12
I'm wondering if the wax would discolor the grout or seal it. hedgehog Jun 2012 #13
