I spray cleaner from a bottle on the floor and then go over it with the mop. When the cloth gets dirty, I rinse it out in the sink and then reattach it to the mop to continue on. Mine attaches with a bit of velcro, so I can just toss the cloth on the floor and press the mop head on the cloth to attach it. It works great on hardwoods and you can toss the cloths in the washing machine.


ETA: This one looks more like the one I have. (My Dad bought it for me and I am not at home right now so can’t look at what brand mine is.)
