A veteran Toronto cop has been charged after he allegedly fled the scene of a downtown car crash while off-duty on St. Paddy’s Day.

Toronto Police say officers responded to a collision on Adelaide St. E., near Jarvis St. around 8 p.m. on Tuesday.

“The driver of one of the vehicles drove away,” spokesman Mark Pugash said in a statement released Thursday.
