here in the desert, we can get smoky from fires in AZ and CA much more than we eat the smoke of our own, usually smaller fires.

Our own fire season hasn't been bad this year; we've gotten just enough rain to make the forest too damp to burn when lightning strikes or some clod pitches a lit cigarette into the woods.
