I think people were just pissed that an election was called at all. In a minority government, if you aren't the party in power, if you are going to bring down the government you had better be sure the people are just as sick of the party in power as you are, IMO. And we all know polling hasn't been reliable worth shit for awhile now in provincial politics here in Canada.

But yeah, I agree. What's encouraging is that the Liberals had to shift hard left to win. Now let's just hope they govern like that and keep some of those promises. Anyway, I shouldn't complain...someday Alberta will shift left. Someday...in 1000 years or so....for now I'll just stay jealous of the rest of the country's elections.
